Sharing In Success

UNITE campaigning played an important part in getting the rules for Sharing In Success changed last year so that people should have known in advance if they weren’t getting it.
In the past, you could get a disciplinary warning (e.g. for being off sick) without any mention of a financial sanction in your disciplinary letter, but then find you’d had your bonus taken off you at the end of the year because of the warning.
The 2006-7 scheme rules made clear that “The potential reduction, withdrawal or suspension of any potential payment will have been documented to the individual as part of the process”.
Unfortunately, there are a few cases where managers have stopped the bonus in breach of the scheme rules. If you’re one of them, make sure you challenge the decision without delay.

Unite members across Fujitsu Services Limited in the UK have been taking industrial as part of their dispute over jobs, union recognition, pay and pensions. Action from 28 February has included 15 days of strikes and ongoing action short of strike.

INDUSTRIAL ACTION IS CURRENTLY SUSPENDED while members consider an offer from Fujitsu.

The national dispute follows the resolution of a local dispute in Manchester which included 12 strike days.
