Industrial action suspended

To: All Employees in the Manchester Bargaining Unit

Negotiations today have led to a company offer as a result of which the industrial action is suspended with immediate effect pending a members’ meeting to vote on the offer.

Please note you should NOT take the strike action scheduled for 20th January 2017 or further action short of strike. This means you should complete your timesheets and / or forecasting as normal until further notice. Only if the agreement is approved by members will Unite be encouraging you to fill in previous missing timesheets.

More information on the offer will be circulated soon.

Thank you again for the effort and support you have contributed which has brought us this far.

I am a Unite the Union workplace rep at Fujitsu Services and contribute to the Union's online presence. Outside work I have interests in various forms of technology, genealogy and as a card carrying CAMRA member I like the odd beer. My personal blog (which I will update regularly next year) reflects those interests.

Sign the petition – defend the union

Unite members across Fujitsu Services Limited in the UK are fighting over job security, for union recognition, against victimisation of reps, and over pay and pensions. Members nationally took industrial from 28 February including 15 days of strikes and ongoing action short of strike, after 12 days of local strikes in Manchester.

INDUSTRIAL ACTION IS CURRENTLY SUSPENDED but members have voted by 92% to reject a company offer.

Further information is available here including a downloadable appeal for support leaflet and how to donate to our strike fund.
