Fujitsu Dispute Update

Although industrial action is suspended, the dispute between Unite members and Fujitsu is still ongoing. Negotiations are continuing for a new National Protocol Agreement which will form a significant part of the offer from Fujitsu that members will be voting on in early August. Until that full offer has been voted upon by members then all industrial action in support of this dispute continues to be suspended.

I am a Unite the Union workplace rep at Fujitsu Services and contribute to the Union's online presence. Outside work I have interests in various forms of technology, genealogy and as a card carrying CAMRA member I like the odd beer. My personal blog (which I will update regularly next year) reflects those interests.

Unite members across Fujitsu Services Limited in the UK have been taking industrial as part of their dispute over jobs, union recognition, pay and pensions. Action from 28 February has included 15 days of strikes and ongoing action short of strike.

INDUSTRIAL ACTION IS CURRENTLY SUSPENDED while members consider an offer from Fujitsu.

The national dispute follows the resolution of a local dispute in Manchester which included 12 strike days.

Further information is available here including events, pickets, a downloadable appeal for support leaflet and how to donate to our strike fund.
