Don’t be Fujitsu Voice-less

Fujitsu has terminated our UK “Information and Consultation of Employees” body, Fujitsu Voice, from 14th January 2017. Fujitsu has at last announced plans to elect reps to negotiate a replacement for Fujitsu Voice, but it even when this is in place this is unlikely to replace all the lost rights, particularly in relation to redundancy, pay and benefits.

Unite is running a campaign to help staff reclaim some of the rights they will lose. www.ourunion.org.uk/voiceless includes details of a simple action you can take to request union recognition and collective bargaining and explains how this will help.

Unite members across Fujitsu Services Limited in the UK have been taking industrial as part of their dispute over jobs, union recognition, pay and pensions. Action from 28 February has included 15 days of strikes and ongoing action short of strike.

INDUSTRIAL ACTION IS CURRENTLY SUSPENDED while members consider an offer from Fujitsu.

The national dispute follows the resolution of a local dispute in Manchester which included 12 strike days.

Further information is available here including events, pickets, a downloadable appeal for support leaflet and how to donate to our strike fund.
